About the Forum
The PNG Health Development Partners Forum connects organizations supporting health in Papua New Guinea, with a focus on coordination, implementation and practical solutions.
Why the Forum exists
Partners bring different expertise, resources and relationships. The Forum helps make those contributions visible, reduce duplication and gaps, and coordinate support around Papua New Guinea’s health priorities.
Its purpose is to support government priorities and partner collaboration, including at provincial level, while creating space to solve problems together.
Universal health coverage means people can get the health services they need without financial hardship. The Forum aims to help partners accelerate progress towards that shared goal.
The work we connect
Understand who is supporting what, where support overlaps and where gaps remain.
Share plans early and explore how resources, expertise and delivery can fit together.
Bring partners together around local priorities, shared visits and follow-up.
Share evidence and opportunities, and develop practical responses to common barriers.
Ownership & facilitation
The Forum belongs to its partners. WHO currently serves only as custodian and facilitator; it does not own the Forum.
The Forum is a space for government, UN agencies, donors, NGOs, multilaterals, academia and implementing partners to connect their work.
Current terms of reference, membership arrangements, chairing and facilitation arrangements will be published after confirmation by the partners.
